Got a friend that has 500ATP and not sure on changing oil and filter. What conerns him is the oil res. I have found that you must drain res and engine. When you re-service, do you put .5 qt in engine and 1.5 into res tank????????

no, 2quarts in res., you must prime if you take the screen out of res. to clean

 

Thanks. To prime is line just above the screen pinched during initial engine run up . I have read that He should look for a slit in the line?????????????? and pinch off there. How long do you have to have the line pinched????
