can a 2 stroke 4x4 be fixed up for muddhogging

i was just wandering if a polaris sportsman 400 could be fixed up to muddhogg. i am planning on running 4 28-12-12 outlaws on mine any input would be helpfull

Just to clear things up, what year Sportsman are you talking about?

You damn right it can And it will work just fine keep them wheels just flaeling the mud.

You better get a white clutch spring and a goodyear power streak belt, if not that stock clutch will get ate right up.

You have to figure that polaris made the clutch to handle the stock tires, larger tires require a clutch upgrade.

It definitely can be done. I run 26" outlaws on my 400 xplorer 2 stroke. It really flings the mud off the tires fast. It goes through the mud alot faster than anything i have seen yet. I wouldn't run 28's on there. Outlaws are really an aggressive tire. It will pull your power down a lot. Also with the 28's you will be breaking cv joints all the time. I have broke a bunch even with my 26's. I have never seen another huge 2 stroke mud bike before. Looking forward to seeing another.
