im guessing you guys that get this 20+ mpg on the 800's are keeping a very steady throttle and not gunning it or running any type of bad trails and run alot of flat roads. what speeds/rpms are you guys running w/ this gas milage?

My two 2006 Sp 450's don't have a reserve and there CARB......

So I think they did away with the reserve when they went to a digital fuel gauge.......Is this correct?........Caper..........

My 800 only gets about 60 miles to the tank, consistently. The 700 gets closer to 80 via the bigger gas tank. The way I figure it is when my 800 runs out of gas, the 700 will have to tow me back! That's my fuel reserve system!

Just came back from Hatfields, 2nd time out, 4 day's of great riding and also great local trail's around that area got 60 mile's before filling up at end of local trail, took 4.01 gallon's we all know the tank is 4.13 it was not easy trail riding, smooth trail's or just crusing. Ride Safe

Stendori,I usually ride in the U.P. of Michigan which can be anything from blacktop, railroad tracks or deep mud and rocks. We usually average around 50mph on the railroad tracks or roads. My dad bought an 08 800 H.O. about a month ago and his gets the same mileage as mine.My wife's outlaw gets close to 40mpg's.I always get gas without ethanol. That crap is terrible for mileage and the engine. Most of our rides are about 100 miles a day and the most I've done in one day is 150.

The needle on the speedo flashes too. You can't miss it at night but you can see it blink in daylight too.
