Leaking Fuel Bad
#1
Jetted the carb with a 160 jet... reassembled started leaking fuel bad while riding...tore apart multiple times and made sure all was right. still leaked...
now I purchased a new complete carb thinknig that the body of the carb may be bad... I put a 157.5 jet in it. Stock is 155. It leaks still while riding. When it leaks you feel a loss of power and it back fires real bad.
What is going on? Float stuck? If so, how get it unstuck?

Check valve setting first (.006 intake and exhaust) also check that cam exhaust lobe not damaged. On scrambler easier to just pull tank and remove valve cover to check things out. Should not be backfiring,if doing same thing with another carb, suspect other problems. Good luck

jw... never checked valve settings b4...
how do you do this?
It never started ANY problems until I started messing with the carb, so that is why I am convinced problem is there and since its leaking (dripping) fuel out of the carb... from the bowl

If have installed SECOND carb and still leaking, with loss of power sounds like more than just carb problem? Advise getting a manual as the cost savings vs taking to a dealer will pay for itself. Plus detailed explanation on valve adjustment and any other problems you may encounter in the future. May not be what you want to hear, but you will appreciate it you are going to do any wrenching yourself! Good luck
