pipes for scrambler 400
#2
Forget thoughs brands go with PSI performances pipe and silencer, I have one on my scrambler 400 and the power is incredible. You want to talk about a difference in power it speaks for itself when you peg the gas at the start and the front end comes up.
Performance is noticable through all the RPM ranges, especially low end snap.

scramdaddy400,
I have a 00 Xplorer 400cc 4x4.I want the best pipe possible and still be able to keep the quad quite.I clicked on the site and it would'nt take me to the ATV section,it said an error had occured. Is it true that one can expect anywhere from an 8-10 hp gain with a pipe and some rejetting on our 2 strokers?Would a mid range pipe be my best bet so I dont rob the power from everywhere? Is there a phone number in which I can call to get ahold of these folks?Any other pipe you would recommend?Sincerly and Thank You!

Scramdaddy, Its funny...I have that site in my "favorites" and have never noticed that they did ATV's! I went there for my sled. They seem very interesting.

Xplor it's kinda confusing to get into the atv pipes section heres a link that will help you out:

Yes the silencer is not forestery approved but no one says you need to use thier silencer.
About the sound, it's louder (obviously) than the stocker but it sounds like a crotch rocket and snowmobile combined.

Bill the pipe is amazing, it grabs power from all the RPM ranges. It may be a little louder than stock but which aftermarket pipe is'nt.
Yes it's true that pipe will give you a true 10 horsepower increase after rejetting, I'm running a 240 main jet with the pipe/silencer, this can change for you though depending on your elevation and temps.
The explorer pipe comes with the silencer as a package, so theres no need to get silencer they advertise.

I have an Aaen Pipe and silencer on my bike. The pipe is the top end pipe and I am peaking out at about 46 to 47 HP at about 6300 to 6400 RPM's. I was a little disapointed with it at first but after I put a clutch kit in it that made all the difference.
