Sman 500 EFI. I'm thinking about upgrading my tires on the same rims. Any wisdom/tricks on how to remove/install the tires myself? Thanks Ron

I know you want to do it yourself but it may save time/money/frustration by jsut letting your dealer do it. Just my 2 cents

I had a local Motorcycle repair shop attempt to patch my rear Sportsman tire and pull out
my plug. It all went south. He never did it, broke the bead and he didn't fill air in the tire.
I came back to the house with the tire and couldn't seem to get the tire to stay on the
rim and kept loosing air I put in. It was really a pain, I finally got it after sticking with it.

I agree with war1ock please have the dealer do it, they have the machinery to insert the rim
in the tire etc.

I just go to our local automotive tire place. They charge $8 per wheel. Dealer would of been ok but it was a further ride.

I tried doing my lawnmower wheel once and i got frustrated like no other. For the cost having a pro do it is worth it.

My local motorsports shop did four of them for a twelve pack on Friday! I have thrown him a little business in the past, but I didn't buy these tires OR wheels from him.

i do my own my hand w/ bars and i can tell you its not that easy and it takes some doing blowing them up sometimes. if you can swing it i would also take it to a dealer(any tire dealer) and check on what it would cost ya. imo.

Take 4 tires off then put 4 new tires on all for $10? Are the people from China?
