Default Rear axle removal

I broke my right rear outer u-joint this weekend. Im trying to remove the axle, but in trying to unbolt the inner bolt, I noticed the left side bolt turning also. I put a wrench on it, but it just comes all the way out. This would be great if I want to change the left one, but alas, the left still stays on. The bolt just turns and turn, but the axle remains in place. How can I get this bolt out?
Thanks
Ron

When this happens then you have to loosen BOTH bolts at the same time! have had this happen on the old machines before.OR sometimes can tighten and hold opposite side and loosen the side you want loose. the inner spacer is the problem, design changed with the advent of cv drivshafts.
