CONGRATS on your FIRST Polaris!......................and for the "buying American" concept, a BIG AMEN to that!

What type of plow did you get? The Glacier2?

Yes congrats o n the new bike! I to am also curious as to how it is going to hold up because as of right now it is between a Polaris XP or a Yamaha Grizz and if I were to but today I think I would go with the Grizz as it is already a proven machine, and I dont like buy the first year of anything. But it looks like I will need to wait another year before I can purchase so time will tell.

I believe the plow is the Glacier 2 - it is whatever the new set-up is specific for the XP. It is the one that you can drive right up to and lock it in place in seconds. Nice design really...very easy and functional. 60" blade. I'll post some pics.

After tooling around all afternoon/night on this thing, I can tell you that I am really happy. This thing really has a lot of power for a 550 and I'm not even getting hard on it yet due to break in. I'm really impressed!

Got my winch put on....will put the plow together tomorrow if I can get some time.

Congrats on the new machines and welcome to POPO - Proud Of Polaris Organization. The 550 is supposed to have more power than the old 600 twin. If the power really is as advertised it's almost equal to a Grizzly 660. The power/weight ratio isn't as good but that's why they make the 850.

Those pics look really good. It looks like the plow mount would provide some extra protection to the "fangs"....that was one thing that worried me right away was that the fangs appear to be pretty thin metal and I was imagining pushing over logs and bending them up.

I'm going to try to get mine put on today if I can get time...
