Default Strange Noise

I recently developed a noise and wanting to see if anyone had any advice or experience so I can start troubleshooting. I have an 06 Predator TLD, mostly stock and original.

While riding I have noticed an eerie ratcheting/higher pitched whining noise coming from near the clutch/trans area when I use the rear brake. Once the rear brake is applied the noise remains for some time while under power again and in gear. The noise does seem worse when the bike is hot and it is some what intermit.

The bike runs and shifts fine other than that and the noise only shows up after riding a bit then braking. I have done all regularly scheduled maintenance, etc. I was suspecting something in the clutch but again wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this concern. Thanks for any help.

Default Strange Noise

Check brake pads/caliper for possible wear or sticking, sounds like what your describing?

Default Strange Noise

I got a simular noise but I found it in the front grit between the pads. It was kinda embedded into the pads small rocks . Might be worth the look. Just my 2 cents
