I received my shift **** today and everything was there. I installed it and am good to go. No other info on the warranty. Perhaps it's just on record in the computer. Next time I'm at my dealer I'll check into it..........

I just had a long conversation with the dealer last night. He has the VIN number so today, he is going to submit to me a new sales order with the VIN, and he is going to contact Polaris about registering the unit. IF this should not go through with Camping World, and that I was a referral from one of their loyal customers, they are going to give me the ESC free of charge! He knows how fired up I am about this because I would have went somewhere else if I knew this ATV wouldn't be in on time.

They are going to put everything in writing for me today so this is making me breathe a little better.

Thank you for all your help.

IB that is great to hear that your dealer is going to bat for you. My dealer checked yesterday & my warranty was not registered on the computer system yet. The shifter **** was sent out on Dec 19th, you would think it would only take a few minutes to put the info on a computer.

My dealer knows how upset that I am, and they are highly regarded through my ATV club so hopefully this will all go through on time.

On another note, the dealer just faxed me the Sales Order with the VIN number, and he is going to register the machine today through Polaris. Once I received that Sales Order, I immediately faxed all the information to Stephan Fulop @ Polaris, and requested that he calls me back once everything is in order.

Would anyone know of a direct telephone number for Stephan? I just want to be sure that he receives my paperwork in time.

Thanks again guys!

When I sent mine in on Oct 25th Stepen said it would get enter around the middle to end of November...
Don't sweat it,you have a 6 month warranty. Give it some time before you worry about it.

Well I hope the aftermarket has an upgraded belt ready for the 850 because sombitchls1 just broke his first one 20hrs into its life. Polaris said,"Oh, well, its not covered by your extended warranty because its a wear item".............yeah, 20hrs worth of wear and they claimed it would go 5000 miles..........Wheeler is bone stock besides some polaris accessories.

Hmm..seems it depends on the dealer(and what you tell them) IMO...I know a guy here got his warrantied and he trashed it powerbraking...but yes Polaris isn't big on paying for belts.
Any idea what caused it to break? I have been basically trying to get something to fail on mine and so far nothing has. I have a good dealer and figure I might as well find any weak links now, before I take it up to West Virgina riding in the middle of nowhere. Of course I will be taking a spare belt as always though.

BTW-If anyone who doesn't qualify is interested in the Limited Edition shift ****, I'd sell mine. I'm not big on bling.

What is showing covered and what system? Are you looking at the dealer site?
Or are you talking about this?
Limited Lifetime Belt Warranty
2001 to current year Polaris ATVs, Rangers, Polaris Professional Series, and Sportsman 6X6s carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty on drive belts. To qualify for this belt warranty policy, the owner must follow the recommended maintenance schedule with their Authorized Polaris Dealer. The belt itself must be deemed defective using the guidelines given to the Polaris dealer by the manufacturer of the belt and Polaris Industries. This warranty will not cover belt replacement due to operator error, normal wear, or belts that fail due to lack of proper clutch maintenance..

Even if you aren't I think sombitchls1 should fight to get it covered..unless he was doing something that qualifies as operator error?
