Default XP offer for previous Sportsman owners

I just joined Camping World, and printed out both the article stating the 2 year warranty and my president club number

All I can say is a big thanks to HighOctane and everyone else on this forum because I was going to purchase a 2 year warranty, now I can use that money for something else...again thank you again, it's much appreciated

Sorry I've been out and just saw this.
After you purchase the ATV Mail or Fax the following....
Copy of bill of sale
Copy of drivers license
Copy of presidents card

Polaris Industries
2100 HWY. 55
Medina, MN 55340
ATTN: Stephan Fulop
Fax # 763-525-7785
If you would like confirmation that everything is good you can ask Stephan to call you and confirm he recieved everything he needs.

No need to take the Ad to the dealer or even mention it to them, chances are they will know nothing about it.

Awesome, thank you again! Now after you send the information to Polaris, do they send you a warranty card, or something in writing stating that this machine is covered for 24 months?

IIRC the fine prit says you recieve something in 6-8 weeks. When I talked to Stephan a couple of weeks ago when I faxed my stuff,he said my ESC would be "entered early in the month" of Nov. Everything is web based now. I figure I'll give it a week or so more and have my dealer check the warranty site to see if it is updated. I know on my last popo I recieved a credit card style Owner's Card in the mail, but I don't remember if it had the ESC info on it. I'll let you know what I get.

Excellent. One of the very first things that I'm going to do, besides the brushguards and waxing the plastic is to get this warranty rolling.

Depending on where you ride if you keep the stock tires you might want to add winch to that list, lol. Seriously though a winch is IMO the #1 most important accessory for peace of mind. I never used the one on the 800 to get unstuck, but knew it was there if I needed it. I already have used the one on the 850,saved me from quite a walk and then hunting down someone to pull me out. My tractor nor my truck would get back where I got her stuck. It wasn't even that muddy, just a combo of mud and trees and I basically got in a position where I would not get out under the machines own power without doing some serious damage to the machine. You may never need it, but the 1st time you do and don't have one you will kick yourself. Not to mention it comes in handy for pulling out other brands(lol) and glaoting about it, also clearing dead falls from trails ect ect. I'd rather winch something like that, that is a real heavy load, than stress the belt/machine by trying to tow it.

+1 on the winch. My first ATV didn't have one when I first got it and I had to go off the trail to get around a fallen tree. I high centered it in a peat bog then started walking down the trail. It was a very long night.

Yep..I learned my lesson is similar fashion. I was about 10 miles from anywhere on a power line road about 2 hours from dark. The road seemed to to go real dim end at the bottom of a small valley,it was covered with grass, and pick back up as it went back up the otherside. It was closer to keep going than turn around to get back to where I was going so I continued. Well that grass was covering what was basically quicksand and I fell for it. I had my wife with me so it was a LONG night lol. From that day on I always have a winch on any vehicle I intend to take off road.

The money saved on the ESC would cover the cost of a winch and a bumper too. I need a front bumper because I crash into stuff and a rear bumper because my drunk friends crash into me. ... If I didn't just buy another 500 this offer would have convinced me to get the XP 550. 99% new including the shifter ****.
