2004 700 efi will not fire
#1
Hey guys, I need some help. I have a 2004 700 efi that will not fire. About a month ago I went to some trails near home that had a water hole to play in, water was about 6" below racks but driving through was going over front rack. Anyway drove out of that, drive a few miles and she loses power at full throttle and has a real bad knocking sound, let off throttle sound goes away, get back in throttle and all is good for a few hundred yards then same thing again. Started knocking again a third time but this time it died and never fired again. Got back home, was water in airbox, put new air filter and changed oil. Tried to start then but would not. Then put new plugs in, checked compression (110 on one side 95 on other), 40psi fuel pressure, pulled injectors both are spraying. There is spark at both plugs, but will not even fire with ether. So wondering what to do next? wondering if it's a spark issue since it won't fire with ether. Weak coil maybe?

you said you get good fire w/ both plugs when you checked them? was there water in the oil as well when you changed it?its not good to not have both cylinders above 100psi and very far apart from each other in the psi compression. the knocking sounds like it was maybe dropping a cylinder.

Spark was orangish red on both plugs, Was just figuring with everything considered it should at least start up even if it lower on power. Oil looked a little creamy on the trail when it died but when I changed it could not tell there was any water in it. What are the compression specs on it?
