Hi Hobbles
You could put a heavier axle under the trailer and put the wheels to the outside. I couldn't see if you had spindles on your axles. You can get pretty decent 4 bolt 10 inch rims and tires. I used the Kenda bear claw tires on my trailer and they are wide enough and stiff enough to keep my trailer from flipping unless I do something really wrong, which happens.
Take care Dave

Afternoon 600Grizzly
I thought bout a new axle and tires and changing other things but I got to draw the line somewhere. Money wise, I think I will use it till it falls apart then just get a BETTER one, with a wider wheel base.
I look at the bright side,, I know what NOT to buy next time.

loads like this are for flat ground only!
i have about 14 acres of pole hardwood to cut out of this fantastic pine lot.
the understory that you see is in danger of being overtaken by hardwood, its time for hardwood to go!here's a pic of brush control.

here's the skidder,it's for the big wood!,which aint on this lot

Skinnykid, I have the Bush Buggy and it has been really good for my needs. We just finished cleaning up the leaves and hauling them up the hill with the trailer. We use it mainly for getting fresh cut firewood off a steep hill up in VT. It works great filled to the rails with wet beech, oak, birch, or maple. The beech I took down this year was crazy heavy and the trailer had no problem with it. Not cheap but a great trailer.
