Default what color wire

Hey guys I'll be installing my handwarmers tomm. and I don't have a multi-meter. I need to know which wires in the pod are hot with key on and if there is a ground wire there too. I figure I'll probably just have to ground to frame but figured I'd try here first. Thanks for the help!

I used the 12V plug in the pod, you'll see there's 2 wire coming from it, one on the end of the plug, and one coming off the side, the one coming from the bottom is the hot one, I think the hot was orange and the ground was negative on my 700 if I recall, since there both 07's I'd imagine there the same colors

Good luck
O and the plug does go off with the key

If you pop off the hood between the pod and the front rack there is 2 or 3 red wires for accessories.

Well I just finished the install and it was the best money I've ever spent for an accessory. I took a lil ride around the woods and they are unbelievable. These things are a must have for cold weather riders. I cant believe how hot they do get, you will probably never need to turn them on high, and if you do you better have gloves on cause they will probably burn your bare skin. I will be buying another set for the wifes quad now.

LOL they are indeed warm... we have a bit (12 inches or so) of snow here already and I took the wife for a ride on our Sprtsman 800. I was trying to get her to try driving it and she wouldn't. When she complained her hands were cold I told her to hold onto the handlebars for a minute. After she realized the machine had hand warmers I wound up riding "bitch" for the rest of the ride LOL.

+1 on handwarmers being the #1 mod in my books.

The handwarmers are great...but don't forget about the thumb. Once the real cold hits you'll want the thumb as well. After running a ice season and thinking many times my thumb was going to freeze off, by the next season it was installed...it's a must imho, especially if you do alot of cold weather riding.
