Plowing Casualty

This last weekend while plowing other than my rockguard jamming up in the drum(on another thread) when I pushed the snow up a pile, once in awhile my hook would come off the short loop chain on the plow. My retainer clip is alittle bent up, not bad after five years! Thats a good idea to just put a shackle on to plow, but I want the hook on just in case I would need it to pull something. I'll put a new hook on when it warms up.

I will like it a lot if I hear feedback that the mount is more rugged than the Glacier II mount. I may end up just getting the mount and use my Glacier II plow on it until it is toast... then get the Moose plow.

Would the Moose mount be compatible with the Glacier 2 plow hookup?
I've seen that twice in this thread so just wondering.</end quote></div>
The folks at Moose say it is.

The PDF instructions for the Moose RM3 mount plate on the web are identical (except for the missing RM3 logo) to the installation instruction pages the dealer gave me for my Glacier II mount plate, FWIW.

Well, that could be a good thing... or a bad thing. If the mount is made by the same company... then it may not be an improvement over the Polaris (or whomever makes them) mount.

Ditto here, I was kind of wondering the same thing.

No problem here with the old push tube design.
I hear everyone talk about ground clearence is better with the G2.I have never had a GC problem. If I want to go on the trails my lower mount comes off in a couple of minutes.
