Tire Advice

Lots of good reviews and advice for tires on this forum - but I need to maintain a max width of 48 inches (or buy another trailer).
Has anybody else had the same requirement when replacing tires? If you get a chance can you post what tire and size you have and the overall width? (This is obviously dependent on wheel offset and spacers if used - so if not using factory size/offset - please note).

what is the stock width of what you have? seems if you know how much room you have now you can some what figure out what width if any you can go up too. off set rims do push the width out some for sure.

The rear is an 11", 489, giving the ATV and overall 48 inch width. But I don't think all 25 x 11 inch tires end up giving the same width. Some 25" tires are closer to 26", so they balloon a little more, giving slighty wider then 48" once installed.
I would like to get some Swamplites - but would likely have to get the 25 x 10 x 12 vice 25 x 11 x 12. So I would expect the overall ATV width to be the same or slightly less. While I prefer to have the 1 1/8" lugs on the 26" tires vice 3/4" on the 25" tires, I suspect that the 26 x 10 x 12 may end up being wider than factory. Not sure though.
Basically I am looking for a more aggressive tire that is good in both snow (first) and (mud) secondly, that has strong sidewalls, rides fair on trails, and doesn't increase my overall width.

Ran into the same issue 5 J's, when I was using my 6 x 4 trailer, just a snug fit for my SP450
running stock tires at 25x11" but then trying to fit my Sp800 with 26" was NOT happening!
Well I went thru a couple trailer mods, raising the rear (front okay as you know with loading in the
front end until time for the rear tire to load), with wood box. Real, rig job, as I didn't want to cut up my
trailer. Okay so finally I gave this trailer to my Cuz and upgraded to a 6 1/2 x 14ft trailer. My cuz
BTW has a SP700 with 26" stock tires, so he had the same issue. He got rid of our woob box band-aid
fix and cut the back rails passed the wheel well, after that the whole quad fit on the platform.
So now the gate problem, he would just ratchet strap it, still doing that, LOL until he buys a bigger one.
