Here are some pics of mine. They aren't as bad you think. Went through a foot of snow pretty good. Compared them to PXT's on a 800 with less miles than mine and the terrathons are better in the snow.
You definitely don't want a directional tread. That kills you in the snow.

All the snow on the XP in the pics is snow that came up and over the rack from pushing snow in front of it.
It looks like the snow is really sticky in rancher's pics. Did you just take it out of a heated area or is the snow that sticky?

Anyone running their tires with those screw studs? Its supposed to be better for
SNOW and ICE. I didn't even know about it until I picked up last night the new edition
of QUAD (magazine). That is what I like about that mag it has lots of hacks and innovations
with side articles and pics, etc. Evidently the screw head almost acts like a metal spike
adding more traction in snow and ice.

In those pics I was stuck in a drift about 2' deep and I had been trying to break through it with the plow and i was high centered. Went in a little too far! oops! And it was really wet snow!
They seemed to do OK but just OK in the dryer powder type snow IMO.
