The one main to the front diff turns all the time, front drive engages at the front Diff or two hubs depending on the year of ATV you have.

The two shafts that go to the hubs only turn while in 2wd on the older hub set up and not on the current front diff engagement set up.

Is your AWD not working? Don,t hear of front diff problems on the older hub locking set ups. When I grease my front end I notice that when I push the ATV in 2wd the front main shaft to the front diff still turns, I really never payed attention tho the front axles to see if they turn also but I presume they do because the AWD engagements is at the hubs on mine also.

Cant, see how the main shaft to diff can turn without the two axles turning since is has no on/off engagement on the front diff like the newer models.
