Default XP AWD question?

Supposedly, the new XP is 99% new (only the shifter **** and the switches on the other side remain).

Anyhow, if that is true, does anyone know what has been changed/improved with the AWD... including the front diff?

Haven't read anything over at Hillard that leads me to believe that the system is any different.

Default XP AWD question?

Externally the front diff looks totaly different. Internally, not sure. I played with mine on ice (before I broke it) to see how quickly it engaged, rear wheel slip was hardly noticeable before the front engaged, it seemed quicker than my 08 800.

Default XP AWD question?

Many of the parts still interchange..as I have said it might be 99% new if you count every nut and bolt..
Yes some of the basics are the same as our older beloved Sportsmans...quite a bit more parts than just the shift ****,light switch and air filter are the same..

Thanks guys.

Great info HO... looks like the working "inners" are pretty much the same. Although, I need to print that out and study it some more. LOL

BTW, is "3" on the XP the magnetic coil?

The most important part that is new, is that it has AWD in reverse without hitting the over-ride button.
