How much do you think the filter and air box mod added before you put exhaust on?Are you planning on doing those mods again once you get the optimizer,im thinking if a person could get more air in and add more fuel it would help make even more power and throttle response.</end quote></div>
Yes I'll put the filter back in and pull the hood. I didn't notice anything with just the filter..easy to see IMO that at that point the hood is the more restrictive than the K&N,when I pulled the hood I noticed a difference..nothing earth shattering but it was noticable..mainly crisper throttle response..

My stuff should be here next week,i cant wait. They said the optimizer is basically plug and play.</end quote></div>
Right, I'm more interested in finding a good place to mount it..the instructions may say,but in my experience with aftermarket stuff you have to figure things like that for yourself..I'll have no trouble with it,just figured if you had already done it that would save me some time

Hope it warms up some i dont have a heated garage and its -28 below here this morning with the wind chill.I think there should be somewhere under the seat to mount it but would like to find some place to keep it from getting wet.

Damn! That is COLD..got french doors? Bring it inside,lol...
Yeah that and keeping it away from heat are my concerns, while still being fairly easy to access..it's supposedly "water resistant".
Depending on how long the harnesses are I was thinking maybe somewhere under the front rack, maybe near the fuse box,or under the seat on on top of the battery if there is enough room or under the panel up front below the pod, just a little more of a pain to get to to adjust, but it should only need messing with when you change something..then again there is a opening in that panel for the air intake, wouldn't want to block it. All of these places will depend on harness length and if the unit wil fit..and I have't really looked at where it might fit..I figure I'll get it in my hands and look at the harnesses first then figure it out..unless you beat me to it
