I parked the 'lil'400in the garage today to let her thaw out a little bit and 3 hrs later it won't start, no compression at all but the piston is moveing up and down. Nothing at all ,ran great when i parked it..Just my luck,alway bragged on how great it's treated me

That is a strange thing to happen. Stuck valve? With a broken ring should still get some compression. I take it you are taking the plug out to check.

 

I would say it could be a stuck valve, when you warmed it up something could have rusted up or expanded and caused one of the valves to lock up.

 

if no compression, valves are staying open or the rings broke?

 

its got to be the valves it back fired a few times,still under warenty till march 2010..thank god! well we will see

the service manager siad he has seen a few broken cam shafts, they are backed up 2 weeks now ..oh well, it would have been quicker to fix it myself.now i will have to PAY someone to plow

 

i was thinking a cam chain but seems weird you didnt notice it when you were running it b4 you turned it off. lt us know.
