How much more comfortable is that seat over the old style. I have been thinking about buying one for my 02 but am not sure if it is worth the cost.

A lot more comfortable. I got mine on ebay and a buddie of mine got his from Breeze Polaris new for the same as I paid for mine. It is soft not hard like the squarish original. My butt says ahhh every time I hit the seat!

WaaHeHe94, 7's sounds pretty fast. Isnt that about 12-13 second qtr mile times? What's the speed in the 1/8th? 75mph? That front stabilizer bar looks ridgid. No body roll. Not for the trail.

The fastest MPH that I've gotten is 76.33 in the 1/th mile. The local 1/4 mile track will only let us run 1/8th mile and not a full 1/4 (Bristol Dragway) on quads, but I don't really have enough gear for a full 1/4 mile so it works out well.By the end of the 1/8th mile I'm just about out of gear as it is.

I also race the Sport in the local ATV Rodeo's and the occasional flattrack race at the local county fairs. For that I just switch tires and take the wheelie bar off.The sway bar helps out with the handling, but it probably wouldn't be any good for trails, not to mention that the Sport has been widened to over 50 inches as well in the front and rear and also lowered to help with the handling.Actually the Sport has never been on a trail since I bought it brand new back in 99, only dragstrips and dirt tracks.

That makes me want one even more. One more question, where did you get your winch mount? I have been looking for one like that but am having no luck. All I can find is the mount that goes on top and I can't stand the look of it.

Default winch mount

snipe523 I make those winch mounts. I was selling them on ebay but very little response. I still have a few painted with clamps ready to bolt on for $25.00 shipped. It will fit the Harbor Freight 2000 lb winch and any of the name brand 2k or 1.5k winches. You would have to drill the holes for the winch you plan to use.

I haven't had it on a dyno. With the CVT transmission the numbers probably wouldn't be that impressive at the rear wheels though. If it would post numbers in the 50 HP range on the motor at the rear wheels I would be VERY impressed.

It isn't a big bore kit, just an overbore with an 84mm Wiseco piston. The engine cc number is 383cc's now.To keep the engine reliable and running as cool as possible my engine builder, Ritter Cycle Racing, wanted to keep the bore as close to stock as possible.I've raced the Sport all year long about 2-3 races a month with no problems at all with the motor. The only thing that I do is put gas and oil in it, fill up the nitrous bottle, check the spark plug and check the air in the tires. The only thing that has given me problems is the drive belt, I'm on my fourth one this year right now.

The drive belt problem is probably due to me running the slicks and wheelie bar.On the launch it wrinkles the rear tires just like a drag car. Here's a link to a picture of my 60 year old father racing it at the dragstrip earlier in the year before I put the nerf bars on it.

i have a 1998 scrambler 500 4x4, i just changed swing arm bushings in it, if your sitting behind it on the left hand side of the swing arm there is a gap between the bushing and the lock, it bolts up tight on the right hand side. are all of your guys scramblers the same or is mine missing something?
