Same engine. They are both in a frame that is way too heavy, as are most Polaris'.

I don't think that they are the same engine or they would have said the sportsman 325, or magnum 335. I think that my Magnum is faster, and I know that It can pull a good sized load, been pullin 900lb rocks with it and it can pull more. As for people saying it is dramatically overweight, I don't know about that, it does 60.

If I remember right, the 325 has a 2 valve head, while the 335 has a 4 valve head. I am not sure on this, so please correct me if I am wrong.

NOT the same engine. Go to www.Polarisindustries.com and see for yourself.
The Magnum is some 57 lbs lighter and I know my SP335 is slow, period. So I'd say a Magnum would take an SP335 but I have no concrete facts to prove it.
Farmr, you're right about the 4 valves on the SP335.

And I konw the 325 has a 31 mm carb while the 335 I think has a 34 mm carburator. Even with that and the 2 valve differance I think they performed about the same or from what I read the 325 maybe slightly better. I Could be wrong though.

I thought the only difference between the 500 Magnum, and the SP500 was the IRS. I figured it was the same with the 335s

There not the same engine. The 335 has dry sump lubrication and the 325 has wet sump lubrication.I know my 335 top speed is slow but if I wanted to go fast I would of bought a Raptor or something. You got to love the ride of the 335 sportsman though. Hey maybe all you guys who want to go faster can hook up nigtrous oxide or something.

Hey Polarisman, I live in Columbus, lets get together and do a SP335 VS. Magnum 325 performance test. Ya know in the interest of science. That sounds like a good excuse to go riding. HA! Think the wife will buy it? I have in-laws in Chillicothe and I ride and hunt down there quite often. We should hook up sometime.

I of course have a sp335 and I just got sp400 for my wife this week. Will find out how slow I am for real now, this weekend. My top speed according to the speedo is 45. Have not tested it since I put on 25" super swampers though.
