You can always use Amsoil

On the site there is a product application guide that will help you choose the right stuff

I use AMS. It is good stuff, and available at many hardware stores.

Lots of choices as to what brand you can use. The important thing is to use the proper weight.

Not sure how Amsoil saves money, its $10 (Canadian) per liter and you need two liters and a aftermarket Fram oil filter is $4. Our dealer sells the "Pure Polaris" kit with 2 liters of Polaris Synthetic oil and a filter for $25.

I'm running Mobil1 15w50 Extended Performance oil in my '07 aircooled Hawkeye 300 with no problems. I use a K&N oil filter too. Pricey, but worth it IMO.

My .02 worth.

What was the question again?

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>I'm running Mobil1 15w50 Extended Performance oil in my '07 aircooled Hawkeye 300 with no problems</end quote></div>

Good for the 300 but the 455cc is the same motor as the 500 but with a differnt bore or stroke. They NEED a 0w or 5w weight oil to get oil quicky to the cam on cold starts or you will wear the cam out early.

The Polais stuff is 0w-40, I use Amsoil 0w-40 sometimes also. Both are full synthetics.

I'm not sure what that is, but I think it would be the next mod I add to the wife.
