2006 Polaris sportsman 700efi.

stealer put in a new asm, now the fuel gauge always reads FULL regardless of how much gas is in the tank.

any suggestions?

My guess would be.. the new ASM... LOL

Seriously, if he installed the ASM and it caused another issue... he should take care of it.

yes i lol.

the kicker is they only hand tightened the lugs on the left front wheel and the wheel fell off while i was riding it with my son on the bike.

luckily i was only going about 2 miles an hour not 60mph and i was on dirt when it happened.

those are the idiot "certified" mechanic(s) working on my bike. unbelievable.

that is why i would try to fix it myself before i had to take it back to the stealer and let them touch my bike again.

I'd start by seeing if you get any codes, if not try unhooking the battery for a minute or so, to see if that does anything

Here's a link to the service manual, it might help you out

mtpockets had the same problem a while ago...I believe the stealer drained the tank and found the float too close to the tank...Supposedly they bent it a slightly to give it clearance.....

oddly enough it worked fine prior to the stealer changing the asm.

will disconnect the battery and see if that works.

tried disconnecting the battery to no avail. will check for codes tonight (doubt there will be any)

yes it is nice having that false sense of security knowing my tank is always "full".

I am not a violent person, but I would have a hard time not going up there and putting my foot up somebody's ***.
