Default 850 XP LE Winch Question

Hey all I have been lurking here for a while and the wealth of knowledge is great. I currently own a 2008 500 Touring and am thinking this spring or fall I may get a second machine possibly the 850 Nuclear Sunset and had a question. Which winch do the include in the package. I have the Polaris 3500 on my 500 now and it has been trouble free thus far, but the forum has let me know to avoid the Polaris 2500 so I am wondering which winch I would get in the package.

Assuming that it comes with the 2500 is that enough of a deal breaker for you guys or would you just go into it assuming there is a warn replacement in your future?

If it comes with a 2500, tell the dealer you want it switched out for a 3500. I'm sure they could do it.

It seems like there are far less issues with the 3500 Polaris winch.

its not an issue whether its a 2500 or a 3500, the issue is they are "NOT" warn winches anymore,. they are cheap polaris japanese winche's. I ordered the 850 with no winch at all, i will be putting in a warn winch myself. save that extra cash, order it with no winch, then get a warn winch.

As I understand it, there is a less expensive black "Polaris" winch (made in China - not Japan), and a Warn winch made for Polaris.

Even within the black Polaris winches, the 3500 seems to be getting better reviews.

When I bought my machine it was only a $20.00 difference to upgrade from the 2500 to the 3500 lb. winch
