Default Trail Blazer?

Anyone have one or have any opinions on them. Found one close to home says it "needs a good carb cleaning and a battery. The plastics and seat are good". He wants 500 bucks for it. Any thing good or bad about these that i should look for

very dependable motors. just keep the air filter clean and its good to go. 2 cycle motor but mixes the oil itself.

I have a 97 250 my kids ride. It is a great bike to ride around on. Just ordered a new piston and head from Rick Ritter. He was very helpful.

Depending on how old it is it could be a 330 4-stroke or 250 2-stroke. That's probably an old 2-stroke. IMO it's worth $500.

If it says needs carb work be ready to drop a couple $100 into a topend. When the piston and rings get worn it acts like the carb is out of adjustment but most the time it is ready for a bore job.No big deal piston, gaskets and boring is less than $200 if you do the labor yourself.

I would love to find that deal. It probably will need a top end job, show up with your compression tester. Maybe he will take a few $ off. $ 500.00 in reasonable condition, good price. Doc

Just as a quick reference what do i need to look for on compression. I've got an 08 rancher 4x4 and was just looking for something that the girlfriend or i could ride when we went trail riding... U think it would work good in the trails being a two stroke.. I had a yamaha tri-moto 125 which was a 2 stroke and it seemed to be alright but just wanted to know how these were. Thanks alot guys

compression should be above 100 psi. a tip top cylinder should read about 115-120 PSI. i have a TB and it is awesome in the trails. i hate riding with the guys that have mud machines cuz they just putt putt around. just dont see the point in doing that. the TB wants to go fast and it does
