Default opinion on camo 850 XP

Hey everyone,
I know I'm getting addicted to reading this site when I go through withdrawls when the site go's down with problems. Anyway my queation is: I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy the camo version xp which is in stock or wait a month for a green version. I can get the camo for $8700 OTD ( sorry if I'm not supposed to give price) The sage green is just slightly less but I have to wait. The dealer says the new camo will not turn purple and it's plastic does not show scratches. He said the plastic was more durable than the other colors. I am paying cash for one tommorow if I go for the camo version. I just value everyones opinions and would like to here them. Thank you very much! Marc

I think after market stuff like wheels and add ons would look better with a solid color but I love the look of camo on a ATV hat plans on getting used hard!

Sounds great RM. I actually just got word back from a dealer a lttle closer to me that has all the color variations in stock with even beter deals. I am so excited for tommorow! I just need to make up my mind on the color choice which is why I was asking about any pros and cons with colors. I know either way I will be smiling from the reviews everyone has about the 850. Thanks

Windrift you can't go wrong with any of them!!

I agonized over the colors also so I know it really is tough to decide but ultimately I really think they all look good. IMO I like the Camo with the black wheels, I like the Sage Green with alloy wheels, I like the Stealth Black with either alloy or black alloy and I like the Nuclear Sunset. Even after I decided on the Sagebrush Green for both when I went to the dealer that day to purchase I still had to take some time and think about it, those Nuclear Sunsets were tough not to go with. If it is that tough of a decision they must all be good!

Hope you enjoy your new XP as much as I am enjoying mine!

Hey Ruggo, yes I'm having a hard time trying to decide, but boy am I excited! We have been waiting to close on the house since December last year. Yesterday it sold and the check has cleared. (WOO-HOO!) At first I thought red, but then after seeing all the sagebrush green XP's I had a quick change of heart. The way they look with the alloy wheels is amazing. Congratulations on your two beatiful machines. I have showed my wife your pictures hoping that she may want to have one also, but for now she says no thank you. I hope after she rides mine she will change her mind. Either way she is cool with me buying mine, and thats what counts. I haven't owned an atv since I bought my scrambler back in 2000. Boy that was a fun machine.

I think the camo is extremely nice... as are all the colors. If the dealer says the new camo won't turn purple... I would hold him to it (in writing). That would be the only reason I wouldn't get the camo.

I had a couple bucks to spend and it had been a long time since spending any money on a toy for myself and/or my wife. I though about alot of different toys and it came down to a couple ATV's. My wife was a little reluctant given the cost and a topic that seemed to clash with her love of nature with all the negative info published and not the good. She also would say it really isn't her thing. BUT after her first ride on "hers" she absolutely loved it! We haven't been able to ride any real trails but messing around the yard and some local property she and I really enjoy it. I suspect once we get on some nice trails and rides that it will only get better. You are going to love that 850 .... I guarantee!!

That's great that you guys can get your wife to go. I wish mine could go, but medical problems prevent that. Still, it's something that my son and I can do together... you just can put a dollar tag on what that is worth. The older you get, the more you realize it.

Enjoy the time with the family.

Pull the trigger windrift. Go get it. Camo, black, red, whatever. They are awesome and I wish I would have held off on my 800. However, I will say make sure you like the color at least a little cause I had to get blue, and I hate it. I'm gonna change the plastics on ours. My wife likes the blue, so she's gonna get it this Spring. I'd like to have both of them black, if I ever come across a deal on some black plastics, I'm gonna buy em up. But yeah, go get one and get the one you like the most.
