is the fmf pipe any good??? also what kind of jetting do i need to do when changing a pipe... also i ride in higher elevations at about 5500 feet and the temp ranges from 30 degrees during the winter to 100 during the summer... when you change a pipe do you have to put in a clutch kit or can you just change a spring?

First off the fmf pipe and silencer is a rip off for the price, I got a pipe and silencer from PSI performance on my scrambler.
For about $70 bucks less you get an increase of 10 horsepower at 6500RPM, a much broader low end with substantial gains in mid to top end.

Ya, your going to need to rejet, the stock jetting is a 230 main jet and its rated for temps of 40 to 80 degrees. After you put the pipe your gonna need to change the main jet, you say your winters are about 30 degrees try running a 250 main jet, but when temps increase, decrease your jet size.

I could'nt tell you what kind of clutch kit to buy cuz theres different ones for each persons riding preference.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Bill,

I ride with a friend who has an 00 Scrambler 400 4x4 with FMF pipe and silemcer. It looks good and sounds sweet. But, it is more money then a complete perfromance kit. RCR, HPD, and HSP make kits then should work better then a pipe alone. But, if you need to be somewhat quiet and spark legal, FMF's Turbine Core spark arrester muffler is a good choice. Fits other brands of pipes.
