On a 2005 sportsman 500 ?if not wheres the rectifier located? thx mike..

 

it's integrated in the ECM which is located under the front panel under the headlight pod. There was a recall on them(several times) Your's may need done, it may have been done already. The vin needs ran to see if it applies.

 

It's called the Sure Power Industries............At least the factory one in 2006 was called that!!

Ecm controls charging and fan operation.

 

Plus two Solid State Circuit Breakers for protection.....Caper......

 

its not charging but the thing runs fine on a charged batt,utill it runs down.the obd shows its not charging. im checking all the connections with contact cleaner and re-dielectric grease the connections. any tip? thx mike

 

have a deasler run the vin# to see if the recall has been done. if not then you will get it fixed for nothing.

Just remember on am on my third one........All replaced FREE!!
The recall one did fail on my Quad..........Caper.....

 

How long after did it fail?its been 2 years on this one
