Default ITP Terracros ?

I am considering purchasing 26" Terracrosss for replacement of my stock PXTs. 26X9X12 -fron and 26X11X12 for the rear. Will the fronts be ok for tie rod clearance?

They will probably hit the tire rods. Some folks reverse the tie rods... can't say that I'd recommend that.

some have even put washers behind the rims to act as spacers to gain a little room for clearance. if they do fit they willl be tight.

I reversed the tie rod ends on my 08 SP800 with 27' XTR's, it works great. Don't use washers, the studs will be too short and it won't support the wheel on the center of the hub.Spacers are ok if you don't mind the tires sticking out of the body, and they put more stress on the wheel bearings.

Your stock PXT"s might be 26 inch not sure on the 2004/2005 but if they already are 26 then 26 Terracross should fit no problem . I'm buying the Terracross this spring also .

The Terracross tires are 9" wide and the PXT tires are 8".

Yep, if you go look at the clearance you have right now, you will probably see that another 1/2 or so more tire width on the inside is probably going to hit.

You could try the tie-rod reversal thingy.

Maybe best to stay with the 25's I'm told there is very little difference between 25 's and 26 inch tires that way your get a 8 inch front .

I am going with the 25" ITP Terracross tires. I called and was told the Terracross have 7/8" tread depth. For those buying INTERCO tires, they run an inch small so buy 26 if you are after 25.

That's what I'm doing also , I e-mailed ITP and the lug height is the same on the 26 " and 25 " so to have to run front spacers or buy new rims to gain 1/2 " is not worth it to me ( so fronts don't rub ) . They said the fronts are 23/32 Nd's backs 27/32 Nd's .

My Prices so far Fronts 25x8x12 REG $166.99 Sale $ 127.75 Each

Rear 25x10x12 REG $ 180.99 Sale $ 138.46 Each
