hey guys was riding my 05 800 yesterday and was going through some deep snow when all i heard was a loud clunk and lost my all wheel drive stopped right away and winched it out. here's what i can see, the front driveshaft is spinning going into the front housing but won't spin the tires i think i read about this before but would really appreciate help as i will not be taking it to the shop, i was in awd and all 4 tires were spinning when it broke any idea's thanks in advance for your help.

 

sounds like the roler cage i dont know for shuer tho

 

Kind of sounds like the cv joint or roller cage might have went. I have an e-copy pdf of the service manual if needed.

the cv joints are fine i can see and feel nothing is broke externally it is definately internal

yep johns right, roller gage or something for sure in the front housing.

 

Ouch, that's gonna hurt the wallet!

 

supposedly there is a roller cage from john deere i believe that will fit and work better than the original. i want to say it has metal internal parts instead of metal. try doing a search on the forums. it has been discussed before

 

yup roller cage it is spendy little thing but better that than more expensive problems i think i will stay with plastic cause i thing that breaking is better than everything getting mucked up in there
