Hey Dugger, you may want to check the crankcase fluids. It may be low, nonexistant, or maybe the prior owner submerged the machine, and it's filled with water? It will definately go faster.
I have a favor to ask, I lost my manual and need the specific fluids for the front and rear crankcases (tranny), on this machine. I want to find better quality non-Polaris replacements for this fluid, but need to confirm the stock fluid type first. Any information you can provide (pdf of manual or jpg would be excellent!), would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Good Luck.

Sel you can get the owners manual here > http://www.polarisindustries.c...hicles/Pages/Home.aspx under the Rider's Guide, that should tell about oil changes, but I'm not sure
