As of Tuesday, February 10th, 2009, the small powersports industry has all but been shut down.

This affects not only dealers and new units but individuals all across the U.S.

<u>THIS MEANS YOU.</u>

New and used units as well as parts availability for every used unit in the nation has been called under question. This issue is far reaching not only financially but also concerning safety. With the suspension of proper sized ATV's and motorcycles suspended, young riders will be tempted to use improperly sized and built machines which could (but Lord willing won't) lead to severe injuries.

Until powers that be realize they are a bunch of dumb a**** in extending lead in babies toys to include youth dirt bikes and atv's plus parts,then we may have to chop em up and eat em! Hope lead tastes good!! YES kids will get hurt,this may be the only way the law will be reversed when enough kids are maimed and killed! Sad,but true! Just how our system works!

 

We have been sucker punched, After this they know what we will do, which is put a young kid on a bigger Atv Intended only for 16 and up, then once this happens they will outlaw the Bigger Atv based on iresponsibility or size and death/ Injury rate and they will say to senate or whoever "See we have been telling everyone how dangerous these Atvs are" And then thats it we will be done.

 

And heres the thing that really sucks, Honda, Kawasaki and Polaris and yamaha, Suzuki have been selling these little machines under their names when all along they are Imported from China.

 

Why can't government stay the hell out of our business!!!!!!! When are we going to get sick of this crap?! Don't they have enough to do? Like taking our hard earn money and spending it on their b.s. vacation trips for them and their family while making tax payers pay for it!!!! Or rubbing elbows with the uneducated, misguided hollywood elite? I'm pretty sure there's some fur they can talk about saving! Or how they won some award for playing make believe! Like the world they live in!! I'd like to know who all voted/signed for this bill?

 

What about regular riding pedal bikes? Go-peds/Motorized scooters? Skate boards/Razors?

People DO DUMB stuff! Kids and teenagers are part of those PEOPLE! Lets just get rid of everything!

I'm sure if you look hard enough there is lead in those parts (paint/metal) on those things too. Not to say that's OKAY? But like OPT points out, who is chopping it up and eating it?

I think kids who live with parents WHO SMOKE are probably more at risk for things. (Not to offend our smokers here, my parents did and I am just a byproduct of my environment, LOL..LOL)

As an example is the Chevy Equinox's motor is made in CHINA, at lot of switches now are from Mexico,even my brake rotors I change on my Chevy Silverado,the originals were made in GERMANY? Even the Wagners rotors I replaced them with are from China!! Before the switch to efi systems, some Harleys had KEIHIN carbs and SHOWA forks and shocks (Japanese)
Most small dealers brands are from Tiawan (ROC),but still lack a little quality in some areas. China on the other hand has over 300 manufacturers of small street,atv and dirt bikes,and only a couple brands that are worth a flip! I turn down daily machines from China for repair,because I cant get parts, plus half the time cant even pronounce the brand name! I have seen them sold at flea markets and even on the side of the road off of flatbed trailers with just a owners manual and a number to call for parts which a lot of times is bogus! I've learned this from the owners! Its all just coming down to the "one world system" Sorry,tired of typing or I would say a lot more! OPT

i was just told regular kids peddle bicycles are under the EXACT same law and same issue.

 

I heard that on the news that is just crazy ,I live in canada and that has not happened yet but I am sure it will.My daughter has a mini bike she is learning to ride if someone told me it was against the law for her to ride a mini bike I would say your crazy.My daughter sometimes rides on the back of my atv if the section of trail gets to ruff I make her walk better safe then sorry.It cost me about $800 a year just in paper work and insurance and trail pass and plates.I just don't understand WHY I am at a loss for words.

 

Just another step down the slippery slope to socialism boy's, I'm sure that all of the bleeding heart tree hugging lib's are dancing with joy,now that they are in power, they can legally spend our and our kids and our grandkid's money and in their eye's spend it better than we can.
It's not over boy's not by a long shot! It will get far worse! If you value your freedom and the way things were in America when we were being raised, you had better make your voices heard! Write your Senator's and Congressmen and when they don't listen vote them out of office! And tell them you will!
You may not realize it but there is a revolution in America NOW and the lib's are winning.
It all starts with YOU and your family's, and then to your local, state and then federal government electee's! Our government SHOULD be a reflection of our own value's and belief's and I refuse to believe that the America I grew up in really wants to become a socialist nation. Do you?
