my 2006 polaris sportsman 800efi would run tell i shut it off but then it needs to sit for a wile or it wont run good.now it will just die after a couple hour then the same thing it has to sit. i tryed new ecu,plugs,wires,fuil filter,fuil pump.my dealer said my gas was getting hot so i rapped the tank.i just dont no what else to try.i would like any help please what about my coil could that be it thanks

Vent line from tank kinked or partially blocked? Correct fuel pump? OEM tank assy OR Napa replacement? Even in Texas havent had any"vapor locks" if this is what dealer is implying UNLESS fuel pump bad! Get specs on coil for resistance from dealer or other members that have your manual and check out,ANYTHING possible IF it is electrical!

 

Had a similiar prob, ended up being the exciter coils in my stator, If your loosing spark, I'd check there.

I had a simaler problem with my Honda car Accord,turned out to be a week ground wire going the computer.
Check all your conection plugs for corrsion and the kill switch.
A friend with a 400 explorer had to by pass his kill switch.
