yep cranks good, battery is strong, everything lights up and it pops every once and a while. I have also checked the crank sensor and made sure the flywheel key wasnt sheered off !!!!

Crank sensor what does that do ? Does my 08 carb machine need one ? I think NOT .

 

Even in non- EFI there are tons of sensors any more with emission rules. My 03 and 06 rubi's are care but even those primitive hondas have crap-tons of sensors.

 

Pull your air filter out. You have sucked a piece down the intake, blocking air, get a good flashlight and look real good. It may be past the butterfly.
A fellow on Nyroc had that happen to him. Also, check rear braklight switch and start in gear override.

Have you checked your fuel flow rate?. You have pressure but what about fuel flow?. I would drain the fuel line then see if the pump sends fuel through the line. What about debris in the tank, from what I understand, the pump is in the fuel tank, is the tank clean?.
