i was riding my polaris's in some pretty slick mud yesterday and my buddy thought it would be a good idea to do some donuts on my trailblazer and my buddy being a very inexperienced rider gave way to much gas and rolled it on it side. i got to the bike in just a few seconds and killed the motor. i tipped it back over and let it sit for 20 minutes before trying to crank it back up. it took a few cranks to get it started, im asuming it was a little flooded. it started up and ran fine all the way back home. only thing i noticed was today after i cleaned it i started it up and it seemed to be idling a little funny and making a very slight nocking sound but rode just fine when riding.

Is this an idle problem?
Anything else i should check after tipping it on its side?


I dont think it reved at all while on its side but i cant recall i was just trying to get over there to hit the kill switch.

If it were to have been reving could i have caused any other damage?

i take any suggestions i can get i just want to make sure everything is running good before i take it out again.

the slight knocking was at idle only i believe and was pretty quiet. just wanted to clear that up

 

the idle screw may have got messed up on impact. i dont think the knocking sounds very serious if its only while idle

Check the air box for oil.If any in it clean it out and change filter

 

the knocking could be pre denotation is there is extra gas getting into the cylinder at idle. try to pull the drain plug on the bottom of the cylinder and see if anything comes out. also make sure your air filter isnt gas logged. it can cause it too

whats the best way to adjust the idle screw?

when you take the seat off and are facing the handlebars, on the right side of the carb their is a little ****. just reach down and turn it right to idle faster and left to retard the idle. im not sure if thats how it is on newer TB but tahts how it is on my 96
