Default XP 850 winch capacity

Looking at installing a winch when I purchase my XP 850 in the next month. So here are my questions:

1. What is the minimum capacity winch for an '09 XP 850?

2. What is the preferred capacity winch for an '09 XP 850?...and why?

Really do appreciate the info...Thanks!

I would put a 3500 lb on it, More than enough power, and the xp is prewired for it. Providing you buy a warn or polaris, but the polaris brand has been known to be junk,

I have the Polaris 2500 lb. winch. I haven't had any problems with it yet but If I were going to do it again I would get the 3500 lb. one with synthetic rope and preferably a WARN with the remote control.

Yeah, but the mount for the relay is setup for a warn or a polaris. I know I wouldn't redrill holes for a different relay on a NEW machine.

I also have a Polaris winch, I don't like how it makes so much noise, seems like it will puke on me, however, I took out the drive on my WARN on my old 500 too, so maybe the Polaris will last forever, time will tell. My Warn went to hell because I overheated it i think.

I see you have followed some of my threads...LOL! YES...I am getting really excited about buying the XP next month. Will head to CO to purchase the 12ft T-shaped trailer...and then the following week purchase the XP.

I just might take your advice on this one...the synthetic rope would definitely be a plus.

Thanks...

Thumbs up Where to purchase???

Well...I really do appreciate all the responses and suggestions. I am about 85% sure that I will go with a WARN XT30 series that comes standard with the wireless remote and synthetic line.

More info can be found here... http://www.warn.com/atv/winches/XT30.shtml

So...now the BIG question: Where should I purchase??? I looked over eBay...and they were not having any deals. Any online retail that you guys have used in the past?

Any tips...and tricks for a "fair" price is definitely welcome! Thanks...
