Predator 50 issues
#1
Hi guys:
I got this quad that my friend did not use it like for 2 years and it was on his backyard. I cleaned but I have these issues, and it is the first 2 stroke quad I am dealing.
1)Basically for starting the quad I have to use my finger like a choke. I have to remove the air filter and put my finger for starting.
2) When the quad is running is working ok in the middle position but it is not breathing good at full throttle. and after running for like 20 minutes I have to replace the spark plug because does not want to start again.
I checked the carburetor, and clip is in the needle is middle position, I have been trying a different air filter and it is doing the same. I have to remove the air filter to run a little better, but I know this is not good for the engine. Another thing my kid is running the quad and not me, so I am not putting a lot of weight for creating the quad running reach.
Please any ideas and thank you for your time

did you actually take the carb off and completely clean it good and all the litle passage ways? about cleaned the fuel tank and replacing the fuel filter ifs there one? you ned to make sure to get all the bad gas out if it hasnt been run for that long of a time. as long as the filter isnt real dirty or have a hole in it it should be fine as well. when something sits for a long time, it is possiable for seals to dry out, but imo not in the amount of time you mentioed. good luck.
