Default 72" plow on 850

I bought a 72" glacier plow with the glacier 2 xp pushtubes and mount. All new for $325 total. The question is to you who have pushed snow with the 850. I live in Missouri and we do not get a lot of big snows but we get a few. We get wet heavy snow. As long as I dont go crazy is the 72" too large for the 850? The power is there but is the gearing too high? I dont want to get rid of my 60" moose and realize the 72" is too large. I could always cut the blade down. I can take narrower swaths in deep/heavy snow. I then have to modify the g2 xp pushtubes for my power angle thats on the moose. Have any of you had the spike limiter engage while pushing large amounts of snow? Thanks

Put it in Low Range and AWD, and I bet it will push it no problem. My 500 handles a 60" plow pretty well... can't see any reason why an 850 won't handle a plow that is only 6" wider on each side. Especially give the fact that the Glacier II plow is lighter than most other plows to begin with.

If that plow mount is anything like the SP, reinforce it for sure.

I've pushed a lot of snow with a 850 with tires and tracks. I'd say no as well....72" is borderline, but likely shouldn't be a major issue. Pretty wide blade though for an ATV with tires. If you get a forecast for heavy snow, I'd hit it twice....say every five inches with a blade that size.
