Default 800 using oil?

I checked my oil today and it was down over 1/2 a liter. It doesnt look like its burning it. I put 300 miles on it and it used that much. No sign of leaking. I have been wheeling with it abit could that cause it?
Any ideas would be great

Thanks

Default Oil

Take off the side cover by the shifter and look for the breather on top of the valve cover. My 05 800 used to leak there and it was hard to tell since everything was always muddy. I bought some gasket material and cut one for it and never had any issues after that.

they may burn a little between oil changes but not much. wheeling alot would a little effect but there again not that much that would see a differnce. any oil in the air box? make sure the crank is clear and not plugged and check for the leaks.
