Thumbs up New Tire Report-ITP Terracross

I have had the Terracross for over a month now and have ridden enough to give an accurate report. What ever you do...buy a radial...they steer twice as good as the stock tires. The Teracrosss seem to do well in all types of terrain. Sand, mud and rocks are easily tackled with this tire. I purchased the 25" size and they are close to the size of 26" pxt and 25" Rawhide tires (a true 25" tire). The ride is excellent and the steering improvement is unbelievable. They grip like the bearclaws that I had on a previous machine but steering and ride much better (Bearclaws were very rough on hardpack terain).

I think these tires are worth the $$ and are a top of the line all terrain tire.

The 25 inch fit well on the stock rims without rubbing the tie rods. They are a little wider than the stock PXTs so if you order the 26" ITP Terracross tires they may rub on the front. I installed these tires on stock aluminum Polaris rims.

Weed: Good report on the rubber. I will replace mine with Terracross when I'm ready. The XP tires are pretty good though. People generally get rid of them it seems, but I like 'em. I don't ride in the mud and grip / steering are pretty good. In 2 wheel drive it will break them loose and throw huge roosts which is always fun to look behind and watch I'm sure the Terra's are awesome though. Thanks.

I'm also running the Terracross tires sure they cost a bit more but worth every penny . I looked at the Big Horns but they come up short against the Cross , best tire I've ever owned .

So Marc....You swapped out the factory radials in 50 miles for the TerraX......Interesting. What do you mean by "rough road"....can you define that a little more?

I hate to throw away good radial rubber. Maybe I'll ride the stock rubber this season and make the switch next.

What did you pay for your Terras?

Why do you say they're better than Bighorns? I'm considering both tires and had settled on the Bighorns based on all the reviews I've found. Did you do a side-by-side comparison?

Thanks for any insight you can offer!

Terracross XD from my research has a tougher sidewall and a new rubber material resulting in longer wear . I do high miles lots of road running so they seemed like the better choice for my application they are also lighter than the horns . They are both great tires just do some research and buy what best suits your needs .

I HAVE ABOUT 1200 MILES ON MINE.....26 9 12 and 29 11 12...so far they have been great....i would say they would do better in the mud than the bighorns but the bighorns will wear longer

I had to replace mine after 200 miles had 3 holes in one front tire, plugged them for a couple rides but didn't want to chance ruining a trip
