here is the story 94 400L 4x4 I was at the races this weekend pulling my friends car after a run I went down to the other end to pull him back about half way there it started to sputter and then started pouring out white smoke from the exhaust at this point it was still running I got it back to my truck and noticed the pipe at the back was very hot .when we got to the house it would not start but it spun over freely. I have been out of town all week and have not even got to pull the plug out yet to look at.
I don’t know a whole lot about 2 stroke engines so I need help does this sound like an oil injector putting in to much oil or something more serious ?

Any help would be great!!
sorry it is so long

Sounds more serious.Possibly a hole in a piston.Do a compression check.

you may have also blown a head gasket. If it is liquid cooled. White smoke usually means antifreeze.

A little while ago I let me brother ride my 400 2x4 and had problem with it like your having. I also did a compression check and there was alittle over 110 psi. Pulled the head and there was a melted rings to the piston. This will seal enough air to give compression but not enough to run the engine. Easy enough, pull your bottom water hose then pull the 6 head nuts and look. If nothing else you'll need a head gasket and some 50-50 mix. But most likely you'll find a piston/rings issue. Pull your jug and take it to your local shop and ask for a Wisco and have them bore it out. Order a top end gasket kit and reinstall. Not more than a few hours of work for you, a day or two to get it bored. Good luck, wish I could be there to help. Love them 2 strokers!
