Got a 96 sport 400. Runs great, never has given me problems. The handful of things wrong is hub I think is getting bad, but still good for awhile. Front sprocket lost some teeth when a chain broke awhile back but hasn't give me trouble. Rear shock is soft, some idiot light covers are missing, and e start hasen't worked in awhile but battery is shot. Generally still a good running machine.


Now the trade. Saw it on craigs list, been back and forth with emails, and guy is ready to trade. Have to drive about 45 minutes so no big deal (vs the hour and half he's away)

My sport for his 83 big red 200e and 85 200s. Couple 3 wheelers. Said he's put over 100 miles on the 200s last couple weeks (that had to have hurt), and big red needs a new rear sprocket, it's estart don't work but has pull cord, and it runs good.

I'm thinking going for it. I got the 800 sportsman to satisfy everything. The sport hasen't been used much last few years. Be fun to have a couple trikes to toy around with and my riding buddies all have been saying someone needs to get a big red or some form of 3 wheeler to screw off with. Same buddies that got a kfx 700 and raptor 700.

Something different.

IMO that's not to bad of a deal, those old 3 wheelers are fun to dink around on

 

That's kind of what I was thinking. I sold a 94 timberwolf 250 and I really do miss that thing.

 

I went for it! He said if he want's to sell off the sport, he'll let me know first. And if I wanted to sell off the trikes he wants to buy them back, so some comfort there.
