Default 2009 Sportsman 500 EFI

I'm wanting to buy a new 2009 or 2008 old stock Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI. I need some info on what people have paid for a new 2009 or 2008 Sportsman 500 EFI. Prices on a carburated 500's would help too. If you have accessories, please list them too. I just need info to get a good price. Any info would be tremendously helpful. If you would like to share problems or opinions on it, go ahead. Any tips or strategy on what to tell or ask the dealer to get a better deal let me know. Thanks Tim

as far as accessories go, 1. Winch 2. Bumpers (Polaris or ATV GURU) 3. Rack Extenders 4. Extra fuel (Rotopax) 5. Plow (if neccessary)

Hey thanks for all the info, keep it coming! I live in Vandalia, IL and my nearest dealer quoted me a 2009 500 carb. no accessories for $6100 out the door. There has to be better deals out there. If anyone can tell me dealers names and locations where i can find a pretty good deal let me know. I'm not looking to get something for nothing, but i don't want to overpay. Thanks Tim

I bought a 2008 Sportsman 500 HO for $4780 new(http://www.pelhampowersports.c...ustomperformance.htm)

There are a lot of good deals out there now if you look for them. I agree that the EFI has better throttle response and will do better at different altitudes but if you are just looking for a solid machine for a good price you cant beat the deals on the 08 500 HO that are out there now. This is my 3rd Polaris and for an all around midsized utility you cant beat them.

Hey Big O did you say anything or have a certain strategy of negotiation for the price? Did they just give you that price without any negotiation? I don't really see the big hype of EFI except if you lived in the mountains. To me it just seems like something to go wrong that a dealer has to fix, giving me no options. Thanks Tim
