tie rod

Default tie rod

looking into getting a set of tires.. and have found out that 9" wide is the widest you can go on a stock rim without it rubbing.. how many has flipped the tie rod? does it help out or could it make things go out quicker? need some info before i get some tire.. friends got a set of 28x10x12 front and 28x12x12 rear mudzilla's for sale CHEAP... i need to know something quick please..

sorry.. bike there going on is a 05 sportsman 800 with 2.5" lift in front...

have 500 miles on my 08 SP800 with tie rods flipped and no problems, am running 27", XTR's, also ride with a 06 SP700 with 28" Outlaws, tie rods flipped and no problems,if you set the toe to spec. you won't know there flipped.

thanks for the help... one more question.. when i flip the tie rods do i flip just the end by the tire or do i flip it all??

You could get some 1.5" wheel spacers.

could, but if flipping the tie rod does the fix and doesn't mess anything else up then it sounds good to me... and it's FREE...

got it.. flip the outside ends of the tie rods and then i'll need to check the toe adjustment on it.. the toe adjustment should be around 1/8" on each tire correct..

thanks for all the info.. i'll try it tomorrow since i'm working today.. i'll let you know how it turns out..

by the way how wide are your 27's and the 28's that your friends have.. are they 9" or 10" wide..
