Question Deluxe Cargo Bag Suggestions

Hi All,

Getting ready in two weeks for a nice 4 day ride expedition in the high mountains of Northern NM and Southern CO.

Any recommendations on a good Deluxe Cargo Bag (brand)? I was going to purchase a lock and ride rear cargo box, but decided on the cargo bag approach.

Any suggestions...are truly appreciated!

Thanks,
biz

I would stay away from zippers ifyou ridein dusty and watery conditions, from my experience the wet and dust screws up the zippers. I bought that one from cabelas that has the seat and arm rests it holds enough and serves as a good resting area. there are many ore like this that might be better though but i like it alot.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info!

I saw a few bags at Cabela's and think the Kolpin or Mad Dog might fit my needs. Now just have to find the best price online.

Thumbs up Oversized Deluxe Zipperless Pro-Series Bag by Mad Dog

Well...went ahead and purchased the Mad Dog -- Oversized Deluxe Zipperless Pro-Series Bag. It just seemed to be a good match for the XP and my needs.

I'll let you all know what I think of it...after the ride!

Let us know how it works. Most of the bags are good until you get rain or use in muddy conditions. Let us know your use and your thoughts. Have a great ride!!!

Ok...well have to say that the bag is a GREAT success! It did everything well and was able to carry all that I needed. It was secured to my XP 850 with clips. The non-zipper storage area's were GREAT. I had NO issues with this bag. Super happy with the purchase...and would buy again in a second!

It did rain (light rain)...and no issues. Some mud (not much)...and it had no issues. Again...very well designed...and very functional.
