Need advice, which Polaris
#1
I am relatively new to atving and would like you recommendation. I think?? I want a Polaris but don't know which model. I am tired of the rough, uncontrollable ride of my Bayou and need 4x4. However, I am not that familiar with the various Polaris models. The only one i have seen is the 335 sportsman, which i like. I need the utility racks for hunting but overly powerful motors are unecessary. A 500 is more power than I need but would consider it if it is the best. More important is a nice ride and excellent dependability. One thing i like about the bayou and honda fourtrax is reliability. Which Polaris model do you think suites me best.

A lot of people will tell you Polaris isn't reliable, well I am here to tell you that I have not have had any problems with my quad, it is one of the tuffest quads I have ever seen. It has all the power I need and you can't hert it. It will go about 55mph or so, and can pull a huge load. I would not get the 335 sportsman, it does have a nice ride but It is too heavy for a 335. If you want a mid sized quad than the magnum 325 is it.

Or if you really value the nice ride maybe a sportsman 425. Go to www.Polarisindustries.com and look at their 2001 atv line.

If you want something new instead of having to buy used, you might consider the 250 Explorer. Shop around and they can be found for $4100 and lately I have seen a few leftover 2000's for $3800. Good power and ride, full racks, and the ability to work or play.

Look around for a 99 Magnum 500. They have plenty of power with the standard 500 engine and have a very reliable solid rear axle with shaft drive. I seen one in good shape at my dealer recently for around $4,800. Hope this helps.
