I think any 0-40 or 2-50 syntheatic oil will do. The polaris oil is good stuff any other route you go wont be that much cheaper. I use polaris but some guys around here use ams oil or mobil 1. And wal-mart has filters for polaris in stock but they are mabe a dollar cheaper something like that.

I recently switched to Napa Gold (Wix) filter, and Mobil 1 0W-40 oil, and for the trans. and front and rear diffs. I use Polaris only

Thats what I would recomend. But if you live a long ways from a dealer you might be better off going the other route. Im sure someone who used other oil will chime in soon and say what they use. But its polaris oil for me.

I only use polaris, some say 80-90 is ok, but I think it's cheap insurance to just use the proper stuff

What bike do you have?
