Dale Earnhardt

For all to read about the Dale Earnhardt crash, go to this link http://www.nascar.com/2001/NEWS/02/1...art/index.html
I was never a fan of Earnhardt, and was frustrated that he was able to hold back Sterling Marlin from victory, but I never wished in my worst dreams that that crash would kill him.

I was, sorry, am a Dale E. fan and this truely bites. This just goes to show you don't know what is out there for anyone tommorrow, just the man up stairs is in charge. You have to look at it from the point that he did not suffer, he had a great race to that point, and he was watching his two cars battle for the lead and one of them his son. Prayers to the Earnhardt family.

I'm not a NASCAR fan, in fact I can't stand it, but #3 was someone that everyone knew, no matter how little you watched NASCAR. He died doing what he loved at the biggest race of the year. I'd be thankful if I could go that way(not that I WANT to die..) I found it ironic that he held off the rest of the pack from his son. Almost like passing the torch.

When you really think about it, the man died doing something he loved. I'm sure he would have prefered not to go, but I'm also sure that he wouldn't have wanted to die in bed after a month long illness or even from old age. Dying doing something you love isn't a tragedy. I sure as hell wouldn't want to die on a sick bed, I'd rather die riding, or doing something I enjoy doing. Sure we can weep over his death, but we can also celebrate his life too.
God's speed Dale!

He was NASCAR I will not be watching anymore what is the sense? Dale was more than the man, he was the best that ever drove a stock car. This is the saddest day in the history of NASCAR racing, I seriously doubt it will recover fully from this blow. I did not know him but he was by far my favorite driver, he always had a chance of winning when he entered a race no matter were it was( something you cannot say about very many NASCAR racers) he almost always qualified terrible, personally i think it was his plan get people to say oh Dale is in the back he won't be a threat. Then BAM he was crossing the line first.
